The workshop will provide an introduction to openGLAM and GLAM-Wiki for employees of museums and educational institutions. The leaders will present the most important good practices of open access to digital resources on the Internet, the principles for making objects available in the Wikimedia Commons media library and how to work with Wikipedia activists and Internet users.
We will present several models for museums to work with volunteers online and discuss together what questions are worth answering at the stage of planning an openGLAM project. Participants in the workshop will have the opportunity to take part in exercises such as selecting resources, licenses and creating a plan for a GLAM-Wiki project.
