Graduated in Film Studies and Czech Philology in Olomouc, Czech Republic. Worked for International Festival of Science Documentary Films - Academia Film Olomouc, PAF – Festival of Film Animation. Since 2009 works in Institute of Documentary Film, currently as the East Silver Manager. He is responsible for the East Silver Market – specialized international market for documentary films from Central and Eastern Europe. He also co-organizes the programme for transmedia projects, Doc Tank. Apart from his work for Institute of Documentary Film, Zdenek works also as programme coordinator and selector for film festivals Summer Film School in Uherske Hradiste and Days of European Film in Prague.
