Mirosław Filiciak

Mirosław Filiciak is a media expert and director of the Institute of Cultural Studies at SWPS University. He works on the influence of digital media on participation in culture and the theory of cultural studies. Mr Filiciak researches the Internet and computer games, the informal circulation of content and the transformation of television. He also works on the archaeology of media and the social life of audio-visual equipment in Communist Poland. He has directed many research projects, such as “Młodzi i media” (“Youth and the Media”), “Tajni kulturalni” (“Secret Agents of Culture”) and “Obiegi kultury” (“The Circulations of Culture”).
