Matthieu Bonicel is the Head of Innovation at the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris. After 8 years at the Manuscripts department as curator in charge of digitisation and information technologies, where he managed projects like Europeana Regia or Biblissima and took part of international initiatives in the digital libraries World like IIIF or the Roman de la Rose digital repository, he's now in charge of defining the innovation strategy of the library. The actions he sets up aim at helping librarians and patrons to develop ideas and services together, extending the visibility of the BnF in professional networks where it's not enough known, imagining the future and envisaging the role of a library in the years to come.
